What should I do if my Covid-19 rapid test result is positive?

  1. Let your OIA coordinator know about this.

  1. Keep your mask on and stay alone in your dorm room/home.
  2. Visit the campus clinic during opening hours (8:30 AM-12 PM, Mon. - Fri.) or complete the online appointment form for a video call with the doctor. The doctor will help read the test result and decide whether to report the case to the health authorities.
  3. Once your result is confirmed positive, please report to the NSYSU online report system immediately (log in with your SSO account and password.)
  4. Dorm residents will be assigned to stay in another dorm for 8 nights. Please read through the important notices.
  5. For students who stay off-campus, you will have to stay at your residence for 8 nights and cannot go out. You can return to the campus on day 8, counting from the next day your case is reported.
  6. You will be contacted by your department and asked about your contact history. Please cooperate with them and share information honesty.
  7. Contact your course lecturers to inform them about your situation and complete the absence request if needed.

What should I do if I’m a close contact with a Covid-19 confirmed case?

  1. Let your OIA coordinator know about this.

Find your coordinator

  1. Keep your mask on and stay alone in your dorm room/home (apart from the confirmed case).
  2. Complete a Covid-19 rapid test and report your result to the OIA coordinator
  3. For students who stay off-campus, you will have to stay at your residence and cannot go out for 8 nights if you didn’t take 3 shots of the Covid-19 vaccine. If you got 3 shots already, you can go out with a Covid-19 rapid test negative result within 2 days.
  4. Dorm residents can try to apply to stay in another dorm room (free of charge) if there are still empty rooms on campus. In this case, they cannot leave the room for 8 nights except for using the bathroom, the shower, and picking up the meals outside of their rooms. (find out more information about this option)
  5. Only students who have already taken 3 shots of Covid-19 vaccines can choose to find a self-health management hotel from the platform for 8 nights and move there on the day they are notified to be a close contact. They need to cover the fees by themselves and are allowed to go out if they obtain a Covid-19 rapid test negative result within 2 days.
  6. Contact your course lecturers to inform them about your situation and complete the absence request if needed.

How to complete an absence request

  1. You will receive a rapid test from the NSYSU health service division and should do the rapid test on the day before the self-initiated prevention is over. You should send the result to your department contact after completing the test.
  2.  You can return to the campus on day 8, counting from the next day your case is reported.
