 The Semiconductor Scholarship (for Czech, Slovakian and Polish students) 

 

The Semiconductor Scholarship is provided by Taiwan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with five leading Taiwanese universities.

 

Qualifications:

(1)Master's and doctoral students (2) exchange students (junior or above) in the following programs:

  • Electrical engineering
  • Computer science and engineering
  • Communications Engineering
  • Mechanical and electro-mechanical engineering
  • Photonics
  • Materials and optoelectronic science
  • Physics
  • Chemistry

The Scholarship includes:

  1. One round-trip flight ticket (Economy Class; each trip up to NT$50,000)
     
  2. Tuition grant (covering the student's tuition for up to the amount of) :
    ■ NTD60,000 (≒€1,760) per semester for exchange fee-paying students
    ■ NTD120,000 (≒€3,525) per academic year for master's and doctoral students
     
  3. Monthly stipend:
    ■ NTD30,000 (≒€880) for exchange students and master's students
    ■ NTD40,000 (≒€1,175) for doctoral students

  4. Travel expenses:
    ■ Travel expenses including accommodation and round-trip HSR train tickets directly to Hsinchu are covered for the period of the Taiwan Semiconductor Research Institute IC Design Training Program

Terms and Conditions:

  1. Eligible recipients must be current students or graduates who have completed at least 2 years of study in a recognized institution offering relevant academic programs.

  1. Applicants should not have previously enrolled in an equivalent degree program in Taiwan.

  1. Applicants must not have had their scholarship eligibility revoked by any government agency or relevant institution in Taiwan.

  1. Recipients of the scholarship are not allowed to concurrently receive financial aid or grants from Taiwanese government agencies or institutions during the scholarship period.
