Incoming Visiting Students

Students who wish to apply through the NSYSU Visiting Program must be enrolled in their home university while attending NSYSU. The visit must not exceed 180 days.

Program Fees

1. Administration Fee

According to “Guidelines on the Admission of International Students for Exchange or Visiting” amended and approved by the 8th Executive Meeting on December 17, 2025

* *VII. Fees: (1) International students herein, excluding exchange students from partner universities, shall pay an administrative fee of TWD 3,000 or USD 100, which is non-refundable if they cancel their plan to come for any reason .* *

The administration fee is required to be paid upon submission of the application for Visiting Student status.

2. Management Fee

Management fees will be charged according to the duration of the student's enrollment. Although visiting students may only be on campus for internships and not for coursework, they are still required to pay these fees.

Fees must be paid in cash during registration upon arrival at NSYSU.

Once registration is complete, students will receive a student ID and gain access to the benefits available to enrolled students.

Charging standard of the management fee:

- within 31 days: free of charge

- 32 to 62 days: TWD 3,000

- 63 to 92 days: TWD 6,000

- 93 days or more : TWD 9,000

• Visiting students participating in the Taiwan Experience Education Program (TEEP) shall be charged half of the standard fee; those in the International Internship Pilot Program (IIPP) shall be charged the standard fee.
• Visiting students who cancel their visit before enrollment at NSYSU shall be exempt from paying the management fee; the payment shall be non-refundable once the enrollment is completed.

3. Other Fees

- NSYSU Group Insurance Fee: charge per the enrolled period (NT$490 for one semester)

- Internet Fee: charge per the enrolled period 

The internet fee is NT$300 per semester.

• For a stay of less than 1 month, one-third of the fee will be charged.

• For a stay of more than 1 month but less than 3 months, two-thirds of the fee will be charged.

• For a stay of 3 months up to a full semester, the full fee will be charged.

The fees should be paid in cash upon registration.

Accommodation

On-campus Housing - Due to a lack of dorm rooms, this option is no longer available for visiting students. Please seek off-campus housing in advance with the resources below and ask for assistance from your host professor/department if needed.
