Credits & Grading
Every 18 hours of instruction count as one credit. A course with 54 total class hours in one semester is a three-credit course.

NSYSU TronClass
NSYSU TronClass is a course platform commonly used by instructors. Assignments, course materials, and course announcements are usually posted there.
Sign in with your SSO username and password. The first letter of your student ID must be uppercase.
Chinese Language Courses
For Degree Students
- Classes are held on Monday and Thursday, 12:10–14:00.
- No credits are awarded.
- The registration survey for the next semester is sent before the current semester ends. Reply by the stated deadline.
- Students absent for more than 26 of the semester’s 54 class hours cannot apply for the following semester.
For Exchange Students
- NSYSU offers a free 54-hour Mandarin course worth three credits.
- Apply when completing the exchange-program application.
- The beginners’ class is held on Tuesday and Friday, 12:10–14:00.
- Students who have studied Chinese must take a placement test before arrival. The Chinese Language Center assigns the appropriate level.
